The DTECH® team strives to create an experience that is cleaner and more sustainable from start to finish. Our mission is to impact change through our conference programming as well as our event planning processes and onsite practices wherever possible. Our team and our vendors are committed to mitigating environmental impacts and supporting social change whenever and wherever we hold DTECH® today and in the future. 

Carbon emissions

Hilton achieved a 45.1% reduction in carbon emissions intensity for managed hotels and 25.1% reduction for franchised hotels since 2008, per square meter.

Water conservation

Hilton reduced water intensity by 26.5% at managed hotels and provided 3,600 people with clean drinking water through community water projects, bringing the total to 12 globally.

Waste & materials 

Hilton achieved a 63.7% reduction in landfilled waste intensity, surpassing the 50% goal, and 330k+ pounds of soap recycled annually.

Food waste was reduced by 62% during a 4-month “Green Breakfast” pilot program in 13 UAE-based hotels.

Reduction of single-use plastics

82% of Hilton's hotels offer Digital Key, eliminating approximately 100 tons of plastic waste annually.

Sustainable events

Hilton ran over 45,000 Meeting Impact Calculator reports, a 35% increase over 2022, helping customers understand the environmental impact of their events.
