Managing the Pace of Change – Navigating Data Center Load Growth Plus Operational and Security Challenges in the Midwest
After decades of relatively flat load growth, load forecasts are showing exponential increases, primarily due to the rise of data centers. Data centers are being added rapidly at a time where resources are being taken off of the system and the NERC LTRA has identified potential shortfalls in many regions. This panel will discuss how we navigate these challenges along with mitigating operational and security challenges associated with adding large loads to the system, and ensuring the flexibility needed to ensure reliability.
