Carrin Tunney
Carrin Tunney is the Director of Technology and Architecture at DTE Energy, where she is responsible for shaping and implementing the technology agenda across all company platforms. She has more than 30 years of information technology experience, spanning software development, architecture, and leadership roles across both consulting and large enterprises. Prior to joining DTE, Carrin served as Chief Enterprise Architect for Flagstar Bank and Director of Enterprise Architecture for Ally Financial.
Carrin has been employed at DTE for over 20 years and has held a breadth of positions in the information technology organization before moving into leadership. She has extensive experience leading DTE’s technology strategies, including outage management systems, digital customer channels, and cloud technologies. Her work has been instrumental in enhancing the resiliency of DTE’s technology foundation.
She served two terms as DTE’s technology representative on the NIST Smart Grid Architecture Committee, contributing to the development of standards and best practices for smart grid technologies.
Carrin holds an Industrial & Systems Engineering degree from the University of Florida and is a TOGAF certified architect and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Carrin lives in Novi, MI with her husband, three children, and dog. When she is not working, Carrin likes to ride her horse and attend her kids’ sporting events.
