Jeremy Severson

Jeremy Severson joined Basin Electric Power Cooperative in 2003 and currently serves as Vice President of Transmission.  He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from North Dakota State University and is an active member and former Chairman of the Missouri Slope Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Severson brings extensive experience in the electric utility industry, which includes conducting, leading, and reviewing transmission studies related to long-term and short- term planning, operations, compliance, protection, construction, and regulatory requirements.

He has also contributed to numerous technical groups and committees, including those from the Southwest Power Pool, Midcontinent Independent System Operator, Midwest Reliability Organization, North American Transmission Forum, North American Electric Reliability Corporation, Western Electricity Coordinating Council, and the former Mid-Continent Area Power Pool.
