Scott Placide

Scott Placide collectively has 14 years of experience in transmission and distribution electrical engineering, design and operations. Since October 2023, Scott manages the Interconnection Engineering team for Engie North America Distributed Solar and Storage to engineer grid interconnections with utilities across North America. He serves as engineer of record for rooftop and groundmount solar projects between 0.5MW and 20MW through full lifecycle of design and construction. Prior to joining Engie North America, Scott was the Manager of Distribution Capacity Planning DER Analytics at Pepco Holdings, an Exelon company. He worked for the Exelon mid-Atlantic utility companies for over 13 years in various roles from Project Design, Field Maintenance and Construction, Asset Management, and DER Analytics. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, an MS in Technical Management from John Hopkins University, and is a registered Professional Engineer.
