David Gladey has over 33 years of experience in the power and utility industry with 29 of those years directly in the utility industry where he has held various engineering and leadership positions in generation, transmission, and distribution business areas at BGE, PPL, and now Eversource. David joined Eversource Energy in August of 2022 as the Vice President of Distribution Engineering for Connecticut with direct responsibilities for regional engineering, design engineering, system reliability performance, capital investment planning, tri-state standards, and third-party attachments. Prior to his most recent role, David led asset management for the transmission and distribution system for PPL Electric Utilities. In addition to his utility experience, David has also held positions in IEEE as chairman of the subcommittee for nuclear power offsite power requirements and working group chair on two IEEE standards. He also drafted the first nuclear standard for the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). David has a BSEE in power systems focus from the Pennsylvania State University and is a senior member of IEEE.
