ComEd is moving from a fixed vegetation trim cycle to a dynamic, condition based maintenance model built on remote sensing and LiDAR driven risk analytics. This session traces that evolution, starting with early satellite imagery pilots, including a pilot with Overstory, through ComEd's unitization initiative, which uses remote sensing data to forecast work and structure vegetation management contracts. Keith will explain how circuits are scored and moved in and out of cycle based on factors like tree density, circuit risk, reliability performance, customer impact, and cost.
