Utility Roundtable: Balancing Grid Reliability with Operational Reality
To attend this event, you must register separately. This event is free to attend and can be added to your registration when registering, or by visiting the registration resource center to review your existing registration.
This utility-only roundtable is a closed-door, high-level networking event that has been designed to foster collaboration among utility executives, engineers and business leaders across. Participants will be able to address and discuss the region’s unique energy challenges in a candid, confidential setting.
Discussions will center on the dual challenge of maintaining grid reliability and energy affordability, not just as an operational metric, but as a core messaging strategy. Participants will examine how to:
- Align operational reality with public messaging: Translate complex grid-side reliability efforts into transparent, high-trust communication that resonates with ratepayers facing rising bills.
- Manage transition pacing: Integrate high-volume renewables and deploy electrification strategies without compromising system stability or artificially inflating the rate base.
- Balance competing timelines: Unpack the friction between immediate regulatory and financial pressures and long-term asset resilience goals.
This session is designed to build consensus and shared understanding among utility leaders from across the region. It is exclusively for utilities. Participation is not permitted for non-utility attendees.
